Write Up:
15 happy hikers met at carpool on Windward pkwy., 2 others met us at Mt Yonah trailhead. On the trail, we saw lots of purple, orange, and yellow flowers. The trees were almost all green with still a hint of yellow. Our lunch spot was on a rock overlooking the valley with a lake. We soaked in some vitamin D and weathered the strong winds. Next stop was the rock wall climb via steel cables. 15/17 went up the wall for an even higher view of the valley. One small finger cut from a torn cable seemed to be the only trauma of the day. One short uphill, then all downhill back to the cars. Another beautiful, successful AOC event in the books. Thank you Joyce for all the wonderful pictures.
