Who would have thought that a Friday the 13th with a high probability of rain would turn out to be the perfect day for a paddle? Mike, Pat, Lisbelle, Susan, and Ray enjoyed high water levels, low winds, and slow currents for an out and back from Azalea Park to Morgan Falls on the Chattahoochee. We were also fortunate to have a good cloud cover to protect us from the mid-July heat. Out with us on the river today were great blue herons, mallard ducks, an osprey, hawks, and the usual geese.
