A beautiful day for a beautiful occasion.  Susan celebrated her 800th hike today - what a milestone! And, of course, the celebration had to occur on our Thursday Morning Island Ford Hike.  It's what families do - celebrate!!!  Weather cooperated and the trails were much drier than the past several weeks.  Although with that being said, we still can't make the entire lollipop loop due to flooding.  Instead, we took the tail that took us to Ga. 400.  Carol led the group the first part of the hike today with the help of numerous seasoned hikers!  We went up the warm up hill and Carol and Susan "tied"; of course, Susan started last and still managed to catch up:) . Next week is another celebration.  Gotta love this group.  Everyone manages to "log" their hikes so their milestones can be acknowledged on Thursday Morning.  Cause that is what we do:) .
