POST-TRIP WRITE-UP & PHOTO LINKS

Sixteen of us had a great time together on this midafternoon adventure on the riverside trails of Emory University's beautiful woods and parklands.  There was lots of friendly conversation along the way.  Thanks to Lisa for bringing her friendly and well-behaved black lab mix pooch, Sally -- it was fun having both of you with us, Lisa, on your first AOC event!

Our hike was punctuated by nice views of all sorts of critter including a red-tailed hawk, a great blue heron, and lots of ducks & geese.  We enjoyed a leisurely stop at Candler Lake where we fed some of the ducks.

Thanks to James Mitchell and Scott Erich who captured the spirit of the hike so well with their excellent photos.  Y'all got some nice snapshots of us along the way plus superb closeups of the birds, and shots oft the swinging bridge and old stone mill tower and its waterfall.

Upon request James can email those of you who would like further access to his phots and here's the link to Scott and Laura's "SmugMug.com" album of their great shots.

Thanks to James also for assisting me so capably on his first AOC "co-leader."  James is already well on his way to earning his "starred" full Trip Leader status.
