In the end there were three of us, and a jolly threesome it was too. We had great conversation all day; we even got on to non hike-related topics. The weather was close to perfect, and we didn't encounter any rattlesnakes, this being rattlesnake month and all, but we do know where two big timberrattlers live. Afterwards, we enjoyed an excellent dinner at the Nacoochee Grill in Helen.
