Itinerary:

Join us for a fun but strenuous hike up the Arkaquah Trail to the top of Brasstown Bald and then back down the Wagon Train Trail finishing at Young Harris College.

This is a short shuttle hike, we will drop the cars at the Young Harris car park and shuttle to the start at Track Rock Gap trailhead.

The first 1.7miles are a enjoyable strenuous climb, we will gain over 1300 feet, from there we will proceed along ridges with a couple of climbs along the way. We will be stopping occasionally for breaks and to soak in the great views provided along this trail.

Once we reach the parking lot we will follow the paved trail to the top of Brasstown Bald, if the weather is great this will be an excellent place to eat lunch.

After a short break we will follow the Wagon Train Trail back down to Young Harris where we will deserve a much needed rest.

This is a strenuous hike and you should be in good physical condition to be able to complete it. Your trip leader(s) may contact you to see if you are physically able to complete this event.

This is NOT a beginner hike.
