We had a most enjoyable stroll on the Big Creek Greenway as we headed south from the entrance on Marconi Drive. The weather was mild and the conversation lively as we wended our way along the wide, paved path. We caught a glimpse of a white-tailed deer as she ran for cover through the trees. A hawk sailed overhead and a pair of mallard ducks floated along in the marshy area alongside the trail.

The Executive Officers relished the opportunity to mix and mingle with members who were rewarded with AOC mementos. Old friends were reunited, and new friendships were established.

After the hike, most of us gathered at Jekyll Brewing for snacks and refreshments. Many thanks to the kind people of Jekyll who took very good care of us. We were treated to a private tour of the brewery where we learned how beer is made and got the latest news on trends in the craft beer industry.
