5 D6 hikers met at the top of the falls parking lot at 8am and it was 63 degrees! We had cool breezes and even cool winds today. It was like a fall day for this 18 mile jaunt with over 4200 ft of elevation. We hiked to Springer Mountain then carried on just short of two miles to the Owen's Overlook on the BMT. We had a nice view for lunch and we were surrounded by tall, yellow wildflowers. Then we headed back the way we came and finished 30 minutes early. A truly lovely day.
