Incredible AT hike and successful ascent of Double Spring (Kelly) knob, starting from Dick’s Creek Gap. Our turnaround was Addis Gap, so the challenging elevation gain got our hearts pumping, this is one of the tougher sections of the AT in Georgia. The snow was amazing, such a clear blue sky and the beauty of our north Georgia mountains was on full display. Even as we finished our day, the snow was already melting and likely to be gone soon with more sunshine and warmer temps. Reminding us that life is meant to be enjoyed, it ends quickly so we need to savor the moments while can.
