What a great week in Portugal.  I could not have envisioned a better experience.  Great group of AOCers spent the week in Portugal.  We had great weather. tried new foods, (Octopus was my fave.), drank local wines, (as cheap as abottle of water) and enjoyed hiking the stunning coast of Portugal.

A huge obrigado, (thank you) to "Terracotta Journeys" for our terrific guides.  The itinerary was fantastic and the support van making visits at the halfway mark with snacks and water was greatly appreciated.

We all agree this was a solid D4.  Hiking in sand is no easy task.  My step counter showed 32,280 on Sunday; 29,282 on Monday; 24,986 Tuesday and 30,612 Wedneday.  The Portugal coastline is stunning and we were never far from the water.  Many arrived eary to enjoy beautiful historic places such as Lisbon, Sintra, Porto, Nazare and Obidos.  Lisbon is a quaint and fun historic city full of sidewalk cafes and towering monuments.  Thank you all for making this such an enjoyable adventure.  Hope to return to Portugal with AOC in the future.
