Itinerary:

Join us for a moderately vigorous, not too fast - not too slow, hike on the NEW trails of the Sawnee Mountain Preserve - Mountanside trails. These trails are loated across the street from the Sawnee Mountain Tribble Gap Parking lot. We will hike the Hilltop trail to the Mountainside trail and return on the Ridgeline trail for approximately 5.6 miles.

We'll meet in front of the Ridgeline trail trailhead and hike to the Hilltop trailhead to begin our hike. The new trails are part of a new parkinglot that is across the street from the Tribble Gap Parking lot. Do not go to the Spot rd entrance, we will not be there.

The Sawnee Mountainside Park  address is 2505 Bettis Tribble Gap Rd. Cumming, 30040 - WE WILL BE ACROSS the STREET from the Tribble Gap Park at the NEW PARK - Sawnee Mountain Preserve Mountainside

 

GA 400 N or S to exit 15 (Bald Ridge Rd),

If traveling North on 400 turn left and go west towards downtown Cumming

If traveling South, turn Right and travel toward downtown Cumming

As you come through downtown Cumming, you will cross Hwy 9. The next right is Tribble Gap Rd. (same as Bettis Tribble Gap).

Turn right on Tribble Gap Rd and go about three miles and you will see the entrance to Sawnee Mountainside on your left (the original park is on your right). Turn  If you come to a traffic light at Spot Rd, you have gone too far.

 

 


Notes:

Dogs are prohibited in this park.

 We will not be at the Spot rd or Tribble Gap parks - we will be across the street from the Tribble Gap park.
