Itinerary:

Every year the Chattahoochee Riverkeepers organize this terrific event to "celebrate the Chattahoochee and foster a sense of community around the river that serves 3.5 million Georgians and 70% of metro Atlantans." Hundreds of racers will take to the water in all manner of canoes, kayaks and such to travel 8 miles along our favorite local waterway.

At the end they'll reach Riverside Park, where a free, family-friendly festival will be waiting for them. It includes sponsors, food, beer from Sweetwater and exhibitors of all types. This year, for the first time, the Atlanta Outdoor Club is going to be one of those exhibitors, and have a booth at the event.

We need volunteers for two hour shifts to man the booth, meet the folks who stop by and answer any questions they may have about the AOC. All volunteers are encouraged to enjoy the festivities at the park as well before or after they help out at the booth!

Here are the shifts available: 

8:00-10:00 am - Sign in and booth set up

10:00-12:00 pm - Staffing booth during event

12:00-2:00 pm - Staffing booth during event

2:00-4:00 pm - Staffing booth during event and booth breakdown after event ends

 

When you sign up, please confirm your availability for any shifts in your notes so that we can coordinate accordingly.

Please come out the support the AOC and help get the word out to other potential new members!
