Itinerary:

It is time to enjoy another one of my faovrite trails along the Chattahoochee River:  “Island Ford”.  While this trail is not a mountain trail there are some moderate slopes, rocky terrain, and narrow trails which give this trail just enough variety  to make it fun, challenging and rewarding.

Additionally, the views of the Chattahoochee River, nature, and wild life are amaizing on this section of trail. For this hike, we will start at the first parking lot on the left and hike the lollipop to complete our 3-mile hike. While this is not one of my easier D1s, it is a fun trail to hike! 

    I look forward to hiking with everyone and encourage newcomers and beginners to join me on this hike!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

Park at the First parking lot on the left - - ($3 to park)
