Please join us for an easy walk at Simpsonwood Retreat Center. Simpsonwood is a beautiful and peaceful 223 acre park which provides an easy walk with little to no elevation. This walk will be perfect for brand new hikers or those that can't handle distance or elevation. The trail is a 2 mile loop which has a beautiful view across the river of Jones Bridge Park which is part of the Chattahoochee National Recreation Area. This land was originally donated to Simpsonwood United Methodist Church by a Norcross teacher named Ludie Simpson. Her request was that the land remain as is and never be developed. In early 2015 Gwinnett County purchased the land and has kept Ms. Simpson's wishes. So far anyway. The parking is free and there is a bathroom at this location. We will be meeting the main parking lot near the bathrooms. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in because we will be leaving on time.

Event Directions: | The physical adress is: 4511 Jones Bridge Cir, Norcross, GA 30092-1406 After you turn in go a few hundred yards and you will see the bathrooms next to the parking lot. That is where we will meet. | ||||||
