Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue. This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary. | |||||||

Please join me for my first visit to Picketts Mill Historic Battlefield. An exploratory hike since I have not been there - planning on six miles in about 3 hours but time/distance may be over/under. Pace of hike will be moderate to fast but heat does slow me down a bit. We will take a few quick water breaks. Picketts Mill - Meet in the parking lot at the visitor center. There is an entry fee of $5.50 per person ($3.50 for seniors) unless you have a State Historic Site pass. GA State Parks pass does not work at this location. Parking is free. Bring $$$ on day of event All participants are responsible for paying entry fee at the visitor's center on 6/24/2017
