Itinerary: | |||||||
Let's get in some mid-week training with a there-and-back over Kennesaw Mountain, Little Kennesaw, and Pigeon Hill, plus a couple miles on the other side of Burnt Hickory Road. We'll hike a total of 8.6 miles and enjoy some outstanding views. This will be a fast paced hike. We will start hiking promptly at 11:00 am. Please arrive ten minutes early for introductions. We are STARTING IN THE BACK OF THE OVERFLOW PARKING LOT, then going over Kennesaw to Burnt Hickory. We'll have a short break at Burnt Hickory before going out to the East Trail/New Salem Trail around and back to the base of the mountain before going over the mountain again, then past the Visitor's Center and back to our cars. Many thanks to Wynn Jones and Tricia Saul for allowing me to copy their itinerary! | |||||||
