Itinerary:

New to Atlanta? Let's take a mini sight-seeing tour of the city. (This will be the first of many sight-seeing tours that I have planned.)

We will meet and begin our hike at Oakland Cemetery just inside the main cemetery gate (on Memorial Drive, across from Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House). After walking around for a while to see if we can spot some famous graves, we will exit the cemetery to make our way to the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site to pay tribute to the Civil Rights Activist. From there, we will go to the Jackson Street Bridge for the best view of the city. Then we'll make our way to Krog Street Market for a break. To conclude our mini sight-seeing tour, we will go thru the Krog Street Tunnel to Cabbagetown to view some cool and quirky street art along the way.

Our pace will be leisurely while at these sites, but moderate when we're going from one location to another.

Please arrive a few minutes early to check-in, so we can leave on time.

 

Optional lunch after the hike - For those of you that are interested, after the hike, we can go to Six Feet Under or Tin Lizzy's for lunch.

We will meet inside the main entrace (across from Six Feet Under)

 

Parking options:
- Parking can be found inside the cemetary on the asphalt-paved roadway. 

- You can also park outside the cemetary on the street along Martin Luther King Drive or Oakland Avenue.

- There's also street-parking on any of the neighborhood streets nearby.
