Itinerary:

We will hike in the mid morning take advantage of the sun and mild temperatures.  It should feel good after this cold snap.

If this sounds good to you join us for a mid morning fun hike at Gold Branch on the Chattahoochee.  We will start the hike at a moderate pace and hike up to the ridge.  We then go along the top of the ridge to the back of the park before decending to hike along Bull Sluice lake.   The trail will take us up and down four hills before leading back to the parking lot. 

We will go up four or five hills so this hike is not for beginners; though the pace will not make it a fitness hike.

The portion of the hike along the lake could be slippery so hiking poles are an option; though they are not a must.

There is a $5 parking fee at this location and there are no restrooms.  Do not leave your valubles visable in your car.

Coming from downtown Atlanta drive north on Roswell Road; 0.8 miles past I 285 turn left onto Johnson Ferry Road and drive 3.8 miles.  (Note that Johnsons Ferry bears left at Abernathy.) After you cross the river yout turn right onto Lower Roswell Road at Tijuana Joe's and drive 2.2 miles. Turn right at the park sign.
