Join me on a 2 day hiking adventure in beautiful Tennessee! We will be exploring 2 of the best state parks that Tennessee has to offer. Day 1: Fall Creek Falls State Park Water falls, swinging bridges (my personal favorite), vistas and swimming holes await us at this jewel of a park. We will be combining the Lower Loop, Base of the Falls, Paw Paw and Cable trails on this tour of the park. The overlooks and waterfalls at this park are quite amazing. We will be finishing the hike on the exciting "Cable Trail", a short hike that will require the assistance of a cable to get down to a spectacular swimming hole. I can't wait! 14 miles/2500 feet of ascent. Day 2: Fiery Gizzard Trail Considered one of the nations top 25 trails, Fiery Gizzard has rough terrain and big payoffs! We will be doing this trail as a shuttle hike from Grundy to Foster Falls. Waterfalls, boulders, vistas and a quick dip at Foster Falls, this will be a full day of hiking and fun! 13 miles/1800 feet of ascent with difficult terrain. The "Local Color" How often do you get to enjoy the food and lodging experience that screams "Monteagle Tennessee"? Not often enough I am sure. I want to be close to the center of all the action, so I will be staying at the luxurious Rodeway Inn. All the comfort that $64 can buy!
