Please join me at the Chattahoochee Nature Center for a LEARN event sponsered by the CNC and the Nature Club. There will be a potluck dinner at 7:00 with a presentation to follow.. The Nature Club: Maximize your Backyard Birdfeeder with Roseanne GuerraAttract the biggest variety and largest number of birds to your yard! Ever shopped at a bird seed store and wondered: how can there possibly be so many varieties to choose from, and which one is best? Or wondered why that seed from the big box store just sits… and sits? Learn to spot high-quality food and avoid cheap fillers with hands-on examples of seeds, seed blends, and suet. Examples will be on hand of different types of feeders for attracting seed, insect, nectar and fruit eating birds. Learn the secret to keeping those darn squirrels out of your feeder, once and for all! Rose Guerra is an Atlanta Audubon Master Birder, professional naturalist/environmental educator and CNC Canoe Guide. Rose has also been employed at a local bird seed company since 2012. Speakers begin at 7:30 pm, following our potluck at 7 pm. $10 general public/ $5 CNC members.
THis is NOT an AOC paid event. No money collected or fees paid through the AOC. Entrance fee paid to the CNC at the door of $10 per person ($5 if you are a CNC member). Please bring a dish for all to share for the pot luck table (plates, utensils, etc provided by the CNC and the Nature Club)
