Itinerary:

This is hike is on a hard surface.  The pace will be closer to a 3.0 to 3.5 mph.   We will start at the Marconi Drive entrance to the Alpharetta Greenway and complete an in and out 6.3 mile hike. 

Hike is 2 hours, then pool time is from 12:30pm  to 2:30pm.  The pool has restrooms where you can change clothes, take a shower.  No glass objects in the pool area.

Restrooms during the hike will be at the YMCA.

Guide dogs are permitted on this hike.

After the hike, we will caravan over to Gene's community pool (a 5-8 minute drive) for a sack lunch and swim.  Both the lunch and swim are optional.  Join for as much of the event, but to receive credit, you must complete the hike.

 


Required Items to Bring:

Sneakers or boots.  Water.  A good attitude.  

Recommended Items to Bring:
Use our Event Checklists to make sure you have everything you need.

Sack lunch, pool attire, towel, floaty toys, suntan lotion.  Change of clothes.  Toiletries as desired.

The Marconi Drive is off of Windward Parkway on the east side of 400 and at the south side of Windward Parkway. 

The park entrance is nearly to the end of Marconi Drive (just before the cul de sac) on the left hand side.  Look for me at the picnic table.
