Itinerary:

Have you always wanted to tour a working farm? Interested in the learning about the benefits of grass-fed meat?

Join us for a tour of Carrell Farms, a grass based livestock operation consisting of, at the moment, alpacas, Katahdin sheep, camels, and Asian water buffalo. We'll hear from the owners themselves and take a leisurely hike around the farm.

Carrell Farms is a grass based livestock operation located in Monroe, GA. This family-owned business produces 100% grassfed, 100% chemical-free Asian water buffalo on a year-round basis. They also seasonally produce grassfed lamb and alpaca. Under the name Buffalo Gal Grassfed Beauty they handcraft their grassfed water buffalo tallow into lip balms and skin care products. Their alpaca fiber products include roving, yarn, rugs, scarves, hats, and other items.

In addition to water buffalo, we'll get to see and learn about Katahdin sheep, camels and alpacas. We will hike approximately two miles through the pastures and around the pond. We'll be there right in the middle of lambing season, so expect to see lots of cute little lambs.

Buffalo Gal products and Carrell Farms lamb and water buffalo will be available for purchase (optional). Bring a cooler if you think you may want to purchase some meat.
