Itinerary:

Join me on this mid-week D6 as I explore 2 mountain tops with big views.

We will meet at the Osage Overlook in North Carolina. Our hike starts with a 2 mile, 1000 foot ascent of Scaly Mountain. We will take a short break here while we take in the views. Back on the trail we go as a 2 mile descent serves as a warning to our hike back. Now we begin a 3 mile rolling ascent of Jones Knob. The views at the knob are awesome and it is here where we will enjoy our lunch. After lunch we will retrace our steps and earn our D6 with a delighful climb at the 10 mile mark.

This is a difficult, D6 event. Only experienced hikes will be allowed on this event.
