Beautiful Morning Hike on the Eastside Beltline

Please join me for a fun hike on the fabulous Atlanta Eastside Beltline.

We will be meeting at the corner of 10th Street and Monroe right in front of Park Tavern.  From there we will walk on the beltline through Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park while enjoying the art on the beltline. We will do a quick trek just south of Irwin Street to the old Krog Street tunnel which is almost a century old.  This tunnel which connects Inman Park and Cabbagetown shows graffiti by gifted artists and is used as a social calendar for underground events in the city.  Really cool to see.  We will then stop in the Krog Street Market for a rest stop and snacks and then head back the way we came.  

Bring your camera or use your cell phone to take pictures of the amazing art.  

Total distance for this hike is approx 6 miles. We will be walking our hike on pavement with no elevation.  Before signing up please be sure that you are able to keep a steady pace for at least 6 miles. Please note that this hike is almost all in the sun.  No shade.  If you are sun sensitive please bring a hat and/or sunscreen.

PARKING-----There is a paid parking lot right behind Park Tavern.  I believe it is $5.00 to park.  There is also plenty of side street parking but please take note of the parking signs.  There are places that are restricted parking and they do ticket and the tickets are not cheap.   Do not park in the shopping center across the street as they will boot your car. 

Please allow yourself enough time to get to the park, find a place to park and meet up with the group.  We will be leaving on time.
