Itinerary:

the wagon train trail in georgia is a historical winding hike through the brasstown wilderness.what was originally constructed as part of georgias route 66,the road itself was built in the 1950s by convict labor. 

the wagon train trail is one of the three trails that leads to brasstown bald. brasstown bald is the highest peak in georgia with a elevation of 4784 ft.

we will me at sharp memorial united methodist churh and park there were we will meet.then will start are way to the red fence to start our journey then head 6 miles to brasstown bald visitors center were we will take a short bathroom break then will head up the trail behind the bathrooms about .6 miles straight up to the summit will take our lunch there many things to see up there  then we will proceed our journey back to our cars 

this hike has approximatley around 3000 ft of gain elevation so i would like to see hikers who have recently done a d4 and d5s with aoc. the trip leader reserves the right to move anyone to the waiting list if he or she cant confirm.

this is a MODERATE pacehike.we need to move at least a 2.5 mph to finish the hike as planned.

notes:we will take breaks to allow the group to stay together with MODERATE speed

hydration will be important ,it will be HOT
