Join us for a 9 mile out and back hike to Pinnacle Knob near Clayton, GA

We will start the hike at Warwoman Dell taking Bartram trail in a North direction, ascending and at about 3.5 miles we will reach the intersection of Bartram and Pinnacle Knob trails. We will take Pinnacle Knob trail going up for about half mile and reach the top. Here we will have a snack and enjoy the open view. After that we will go down the same way we hiked up.

We will hike about 9 miles total with over 3500 feet accumulated up and down elevation change, moving with steady moderate pace (2 -2.5 miles/hour). You will need to be at a good fitness level to complete this hike. This is a D4 hike and the peak is 1200 feet above the starting point, very challenging.

We are meeting at the Bartram Trailhead / Warwoman Dell Picnic area at 9:50 am to gather.

Please allow enough time to safely arrive at the trailhead parking lot.

1) Drive to Clayton, GA

2) From Clayton, GA drive east on Warwoman Road and proceed approximately 2.3 miles to the Warwoman Dell Recreation Area. (Be careful - - it's easy to miss the gravel road on your right to the parking lot. Park in the FIRST parking lot! The trailhead begins at the far right 
 end of the parking lot.
