Itinerary:

Wind down the work week with an easy 2 mile stroll around Murphey Candler park. I will be going at a casual pace to enjoy being outdoors after a long week of work. If I see something that interests me I may choose to stop and enjoy the moment, this is not the event for anyone that is in a hurry.

The trail around the lake is relatively flat and easy but some areas can get muddy after a rainy week like the one we are having.

Please be aware that the traffic getting to the park can be very bad if you have to take 285. The point of the event is to start off your weekend on a relaxing note. If you have a long drive to get to the park it honestly might not be worth it.

We will be meeting in the parking lot at the west side of the dam. It is at the corner of West Nancy Creek and Candler Lake West. Google maps shows the lot as "Caretaker's cottage" although that appears to have been demolished.

There is additional parking on Candler Lake W by the playground and pool if it is busy.
