Itinerary:

Autrey Mill has over 2.5 miles of trails through a hardwood forest. The trails wander past a scenic creek with rocky shoals, many spring seeps, mature trees, wildflowers, native plants, and a variety of animal life. There is plenty to explore with bridges, an overlook, a gold mine, foundation stones of the old mill, plus benches and pavilions. Hiking poles are recommended for these trails. After hiking about 2 miles at Autrey Mill, we will move less than 5 miles away to the Medlock Bridge Unit of the Chattahooche NRA, located on Medlock Bridge Road, Duluth. GA 3009, where we will meet at the Fee Station. Medlock Bridge is a small, wooded unit situated along a bend in the river. The park consists of a small picnic area, a boat ramp, and about 2 miles of trails. The trail along the river is mainly flat, while the inland trails traverse low hills with a total elevation change of around 330 ft.

Entrance to Autrey Mill is free. To park at Medlock Bridge you will have to pay the $5,00 park fee, unless you already have an annual pass.
