Itinerary:

It is time to enjoy another one of my favorite trails along the Chattahoochee River:  “Island Ford”.  While this trail is not a mountain trail, it has moderate slopes, rocky terrain, and narrow trails that make this trail very fun, challenging, and rewarding.

Additionally, the views of the Chattahoochee River, nature, and wildlife are amazing on this section of the trail. For this hike, we will start at the first parking lot on the left and hike the lollipop. We will be moving at a moderate pace to complete our 3- mile hike in 1 hour. While this is not one of my easier D1s, it is a fun trail to hike!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

Meet in the first parking lot on the left  - - ($5 to park)
