Itinerary:

Let's have a healthy happy hour with a brisk after work hike at Sope Creek!

Goal pace is ~2.5 mph (slower up hills and faster on flat)

We will begin promptly at 6:00 pm beginning first on hiking trails, wind around on some bike trails while making our way towards Columns Drive. At this point, we will take a short bathroom and water break if needed.

We will then make our way back finishing with a loop around Sibley Pond.

This hike is not recommended for beginners because portions of the trails are narrow and somewhat technical with rocks and roots.

If you do not have a parking pass arrive 15 minutes early to puchase one. There is a $5 parking fee at CRNRA parks or you can buy an annual pass for $40. You can purchase daily parking with your smart phone at Sope Creek or you can go to the web site where fees can be paid in  advance:  https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm

Water or some sort of hydration

This is a weekday hike so make sure to check traffic conditions to ensure you arrive about 10 mins early.
