FULL DISCLOSURE: This is a FAST-PACED HIKE, so if you have mobility issues or are recovering from injury, this may not be the hike for you!

 

That said, RAIN or SHINE, we'll hike the refurbished South Peachtree Creek boardwalk from MEDLOCK PARK to the Candler Lake loop (on the Emory campus) and back. We'll maintain a brisk pace (17 minute/mile) to get our blood pumping over the 4.4 mile roundtrip hike, while we enjoy the lovely views.

The majority of the hike is on a wooden boardwalk or concrete path, with some sections on gravel, dirt etc., so wear appropriate footwear.

Once you are in the parking lot, face the baseball fields/playground, and walk to the railings at the far LEFT (western corner), where the trail begins. You'll find me and/or the group waiting there.
