Itinerary:

It's Monday, and a good day to return to a seldom used hiking trail - -  Henderson Park in Tucker, GA.  There are three sections of beautiful trails throughout the park, the Red, White, and Blue Trails, plus many athletic fields. The park can't be beat for a variety of hiking surfaces, woods, creeks, lakes, and even a waterfall (sometimes).  Depending on our route, we might hit 5 miles.  I've allowed a little extra time just in case we need it.

Be careful to follow the directions below, as there are several entrances to the park and numerous parking lots.  If you follow your GPS, it may take you a different entrance to the park.  We are entering the park at the entrance off Henderson PARK Road - - NOT the one on Henderson Road!  If you park at the wrong place, it will take you 10 minutes to get to us, so we'll have to start without you!

Hiking poles are recommended!

If you bring a dog, it must be kept on leash and be prepared to pick up after it, if necessary.

Hiking poles are recommended for the Red Trail which is hilly, rocky, and full of exposed roots.  There is also a small creek crossing at the waterfall.

Please make note:  There are 2 main entrances to the park.  One is on Henderson Road.  THS IS NOT THE ONE TO USE!  Instead, use the address/coordinates above and enter on Henderson PARK Road! 

We will meet at the FIRST parking lot as you drive into the park.

There is a bathroom we'll pass in the park, but no guarantee that it will be unlocked.
