This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Legend has it that from prehistoric times, the Cherokee, who controlled this area, would climb this particular mountain, find a resting place (seat) on the rocks and reflect on life. Our plan is somewhat similar, in that we'll hike the Ridgeline Loop trail, return to our cars for a quick drink of water and (possible) restroom break, and then hike up to the Indian Seats to ponder all that we have achieved, including a total elevation gain of 1100 feet, before returning to our cars for the drive back home.

DISCLAIMER: This is a moderately strenuous hike with 1000+ foot elevation gain at a relatively brisk pace. So, if you have mobility issues, are recovering from injury, or prefer a slow pace, this is NOT the hike for you!
