Launching at 5:30 p.m. from Morgan Falls Lower Pool...everyone is to meet here well before launch time*. This is a great multi-disipline paddle that starts off easy...then gives way to class III whitewater as we eddy hop and surf from hole to hole along the world famous Chattahoochee River. We are going with the flow so we'll pay close attention to the flow rates and releases at Morgan Falls USGS | Monitoring Station we are aiming for a minimum of 2,000cfs - but 7,000 is nice! We'll be chasing daylight too, so it's not a casual paddle in the flat section...we'll be working :) be prepared for that
We're changing the set up and shuttle for this one too...I want to drop my van and trailer off at Paces Boat Ramp, then have someone take me and my boat back up to Morgans Lower Pool to meet everyone and start from there....then, I can shuttle everyone back up after we're done... no one else needs a parking pass. SO I NEED ONE VOLUNTEER to shuttle me.
* I will meet the volunteer at Paces boat ramp (the trailer lot ramp, not the main lot ramp) before 5pm - so we're head back up in time to launch by 5:30. | |||||||
