Itinerary:

Spectacular mountain scenery and hiking trails make this one of Georgia’s most popular state parks. At 729 feet, Amicalola Falls is the tallest cascading waterfall in the Southeast.

We will hike the AT Approach Trail and return back via the Len Foote route with an approx. 2,300 ft elevation gain. We will walk moderately fast with a few stragetic stops to have some water and regroup. A longer stop for our well- deserved lunch break at the Hike Inn is just one highlight we are all looking forward to! (approx. 30 minutes)

Please Note: Recent D4 Hiking Experience with the AOC is Required !!! ---  This is not a self-paced hike, so you need to make sure you can walk at a moderate, sometimes faster, speed and stay with the group.

We will move anyone we feel does not have adequate experience for this hike to the waitlist until we can establish the current fitness level.

We will start the hike in the parking lot above the falls (Where the bathrooms are) promptly at 9:00 am.

There is a $5.00 fee per car for the park. You can buy your day pass at the visitor's center or put cash via the drop box in the parking lot on top of the falls.
