Join me for a Sunday Morning hike that promises to be special!
Island Ford is located in Sandy Springs and is one of the parks along the Chattahoochee river. There are a few hills, but mostly rolling hills. We'll cover most of the trails, starting from the Visitor's Center. From there we'll head to the "lollipop" trail adjacent to Roberts Road and back.
We'll stop to enjoy the scenery and hydrate at times, but expect to keep a steady pace throughout the hike.
Let's meet at the Visitors' Center. Prepare to come a few minutes early to pay the $5 parking fee or purchase an annual pass at the Visitors' Center.
Dogs are welcome but must be on leash at all times in accordance with Chattahoochee NRA park rules.
