DISCLAIMER: This is a moderately challenging hike with 450+ foot elevation gain and a substantial amount of rock scrambling along the creek. So, if you have mobility issues, are recovering from injury, or prefer a slower pace, please sit this one out! That said, it's finally time to break in those new hiking boots ... you know, the ones you got for Christmas? So, lace 'em up and join us on this 4.8 mile fun and scenic hike, so close to town. We'll explore the variety that is Sweetwater Creek State Park via the White trail which passes through a remote area of the park, past Jack's Lake, the Sweetwater creek rapids, to the Civil War period Manchester Mill ruins. From here, we take a short detour via the Red trail, back to the parking lot. | |||||||
