Itinerary:

The hike is comprised of three trails (1) Tennessee Rock Trail 2.2 miles,  (2) James E Edmond Backcountry Trail 7.2 miles, (3) Black Rock Lake Trail .8 miles. 

We will start at the lake trail, then James Edmond up hill, nex the Tennesee, and then down to the lake, back up to JE - and a really great overlook, then back down to the lake.

Elevation gain:  approximately 3100 feet  

Distance: 11.5 miles

Pace is moderate.  Slow on the uphill and faster going down.  The hike will maintain a lead and a sweep.

If you want to meet at Ingles in Clayton and follow us to the trailhead, let us know.  We are starting the hike from the lake.  Detailed directions to trailhead will be sent out in advance of the hike.

Qualifications for the hike:  A D5 from this year.

Cost Includes:

Free, but there is a $5.00 parking fee per car if you do not have a state park pass.
