Itinerary:

 

Join us for a hike to the Pine Mountain Overlook via the West Loop Trail.

This is a dog friendly hike, dogs are allowed.

It is about 3 miles total with 800 feet of elevation gain, so there are few flat areas.

Estimated completion time is about 1.5 hours.

We will start at the West Trailhead parking lot, "Pine Mountain Trail, West" on google maps.

There is a porta potty and dumpster here.

This hike is listed on the alltrails app as "Pine Mountain Summit via West Loop".

Location: West Trailhead parking lot, use "Pine Mountain Trail, West" on google maps.

1) Take I-75 north from Atlanta.

2) Take exit 288 (sign says 113 Cartersville).

3) Turn right (on main street, 113) for 800 feet.

4) Turn right on Komatsu drive for 600 feet.

5) Turn left into large gravel parking lot.
