Itinerary:

Join me at Kennesaw for an in-town hike. We will go up and over Big Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw, then continue down to Burnt Hickory Road past the 3 mile marker and retrace our steps back to the vistor's center.

We repeat by going over Little & Big Kennesaw until we get to the 2 mile marker and retrace our steps back to the visitor center for a total of 10.2miles 

While this is a self paced event, you will need to complete the event within the alloted time to receive full credit. 

This is a low end D5 with aproximate elevation of 2500 ft. D4 experience required to participate in the event. In the event you have completed recent qualifiying hikes outside the club, please send me an email to advise prior to signing up. 

Park pass required at a cost of $5 for daily Pass or an annual $40 pass can be purchased at the Visitor's Center. America the Beautiful National Parks Passes also can be used at Kennesaw.

Bathrooms and water fountains are available in the Visitor's Center.

7:30 AM start time. Please arrive a few minutes early for intros or rest room use prior to the hike.

In the event the parking lot is full, you can use the overflow lot. Please allow extra time for the 10 minutes walk to the Visitor Center.

We will meet by the cannon in front of the Visitor's Center.

From I-75 North:

Take exit 267B onto SR-5 Spur South toward US-41, Marietta

Turn right onto Church Street Extension NE

Turn left onto Old US-41 Hwy NW

Turn left onto Stilesboro Rd NW

Turn left into the Visitor's Center parking lot.


Notes:

Please allow extra time in the event you park in the overflow parking lot. The walk is aprox. 10 minutes
