Bike G’way : Empezar en Marconi

Swithching things up a bit on this bike event as we FLIP START POINTS...tonight we'll be MEETING and riding at 6PM from the Marconi area lot - parking is available at Marconi Lot and/or Jekyll Brewery. Arrive early enough to get things situated and prepped well before 6 pm. We'll start right on time, as usual, for a moderate paced, no drop clip towards Union Hill (to get the easy, shorter portion of the ride out of the way right off the bat), we'll circle back, passing Marconi once and head ALLLLL the way down to the turnarounds near the Roswell trailhead off Old Alabama road (extra points for charging the big hill to the MTB parking lot). We'll re-group at the restrooms there - for nature breaks and water...then it's back up the trail to Marconi for a few hill repeats b4 your rewards :P 

Also, if you're not familiar with the route, please visit the updated web site link below; as we may or may not be grouped together due to varying fitness levels, my avg pace will be moderate...it's a NO DROP event, but we might jump up the path and circle back...nevertheless, no one will be left behind.

This ride is best on a road bike, but can be completed on any mechanically sound bike of your choice...I'll be on my gravel bike, so choose your weapon carefully! Once near the Roswell end there is some boardwalk sections, but they have been replaced recently...and some are under construction....keep your head up :) 
Bring a helmet, sunscreen and a positive attitude.
