This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

Join me as I explore some new to me trails in the Aska Trail System near Blue Ridge, GA.

We will start by doing a short loop around Green Mountain. Coming in at just under 2 miles, this loop is comparable to a climb of Kennesaw Mt. After this loop we cross the street and enjoy a romp up Rocky Mountain. If you were on my recent BMT hike to Laurel Creek, you will recognize about a mile of trail leading to Rocky. This time we will hit the summit of Rocky for an early lunch. After lunch we head down to the Flat Creek Loop for some creek side hiking. It has been a dry summer, but the creek still has a little flow, so we will enjoy the sounds and sights! After our final loop, we are very close to our cars to complete our journey.

There was a recent bear sighting in the area, so maybe we will get lucky.

This is a low D5 event, recent D4 experience is required to join the fun!
