Itinerary:

Let's go on a relaxed hike at Medlock and Mason Mill Parks. This will be a great hike for those new to hiking, hikers recovering from an injury, or experienced hikers looking to take it easy on a Monday morning.

We will begin at MEDLOCK PARK trailhead and hike from Medlock Park to the other end of the path at North Druid Hills Road, then turn around to go back to Medlock. Along the way we will hop off the trail to hike a few of the woodland trails.

These woodland trails will be some of the easier ones - no overly steep or narrow slopes though there will be some modest hills. So as the hike name suggests, it's an introduction to the woods off the boardwalk. This is a lovely area with babbling brooks and some interesting old structures from another era. It makes for fun and interesting hiking.

I will maintain a moderate pace, around 2.5 mph, slower on the woodland trails.

We will meet at the South Peachtree Creek trailhead at MEDLOCK PARK. This is located at the end of the long parking lot (opposite end from playground). Parking is free and restrooms are available (though I cannot guarantee they will be open at 9am).

As always, please arrive early (10-15 minutes) so we can start hiking promptly at 9:00 am.
