Itinerary:

Come join us on Monday morning for a walk along a scenic trail at Kennesaw Mountain.  The 24 Gun Trail is a trail which many people who hike up the mountain and down have not seen before.  It's a nice hike with very little elevation and some beautiful scenery around the bottom of the mountain.  We'll enjoy a 2 mile hike out (or roughly an hour) and then turn back following along the same route. This hike does NOT go up Kennesaw Mountain!

This is a special hike - - Mike's 600th AOC event!

NOTE:  You MUST purchase a Kennesaw National Park Pass or a Federal Park Pass to park in the Visitor Center or Overflow lots.  Plan to arrive early if you need to purchase one or you can also purchase one online. You can purchase one at the Vistors Center or online.

We will meet at the Visitor Center by the cannon, just outside the lobby for sign-in.  Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in, and be sure to allow time for parking. The Visitor Center lot may be full, so you should plan enough time to park at the auxiliary lot down Old Hwy 41 - - about 1/4 mile past the traffic light at Old Stilesboro Road.   Allow an extra 10-15 minutes to park there and wallk to the Visitor Center.

After the hike, some of us will be going to the Firestone Chinese Cuisine Restaurant on Barrett Parkway to celebrate Mike's milestone event.  Plan to join us if you have the time.  The address is: 840 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW #588, Kennesaw, GA 30144
