It's Amy Y.'s 300th AOC Event! This will be a steady, moderately paced hike. There is some rough terrain in the park and some hills, so it's not a good hike for beginners who aren't sure of their footing. We'll start at the VISITOR CENTER lot, walk along the river, go around the lollipop trail, and return via the inner trails. We'll meet at the VISITOR CENTER lot, which is almost a mile past the entrance gates. Keep driving past the Hewlett Pond parking lot, staying on the main road until you can't go any further. The Visitor Center has bathrooms, so you should arrive early if you want to take advantage of them. We'll start the hike promptly at 10:30 am, so arrive at least 10 minutes early to meet everyone before we start and get a group photo. There's a parking fee of $5.00 in this park. It's best to pay online before the event if you don't have an annual pass. You can do this at https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm.
