Itinerary:

Time to burn off the Candy Corn & Peanut Butter Batties and join me for an early lap at world famous Dirty Sheets!

This might be listed as a Mountain Biking event this is "technically" NOT a mountain biking event...while close, it will be best if you attack these Dirty Sheets with a Gravel or CX bike.

When the local trail status says closed, it's time to ride gravel. In fact it's always a good time to ride gravel!  RAIN OR SHINE EVENT, cancelled only under the threat of severe storms. The Dirty Sheets is a 20.7 mile loop - this premiere gravel route is in South Fulton County in the City of Chattahoochee Hills. Surrounded by the equally famous Silk Sheets road cycling route, The Dirty Sheets is a rural and scenic gravel ride that will leave you in disbelief that you are so close to downtown and the airport.
The ride starts at Cochran Mill Park and for me it's best ridden clockwise. The Dirty Sheets begins with a lil open road section but quickly changes to country dirt roads and continues to thrill for the next 20 miles. Be sure to close the "gate" behind you...and pet the goats as needed.
Check out the ride and GPX file at MTB project here: http://www.mtbproject.com/trail/7012793/dirty-sheets-gravel- loop.

If you want to ride fast in the dirt, gravel (and yes, some roads)  this is for you
If you love drilling a dirty big ring, this IS for you

If you don't mind trading flesh with trees, rocks, gravel and/or dirt this is for you
If you have more energy than sense, this is probably for you too
If you're scared to ride on a mix of 2-lane country highways, dirt roads or trails, this is NOT for you

If you want to look at scenery, this is not for you
If you have to ask what a CX or gravel bike is, this is probably not for you
