Itinerary:
The trail starts near the parking lot and proceeds for about half a mile around the park until it crosses a railroad track, and then an old bridge. We will then walk on parts of the white red and blue trails to form a loop inside a pine forest, between two creeks. Along the way we will see the ruins of the old Decatur waterworks, which were abandoned in the 1940's.
Part of the trail has been recently paved and a large new bridge and boardwalk built that cross the railroad track and overlook the old waterworks.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:1. From the intersection of Clairmont Road and North Druid Hills Road in NE Atlanta take Clairmont about 0.3 mile south (i.e. toward Decatur) to the next traffic light at McConnell Drive.

2. Turn Left onto Mc Connell Drive and proceed about 0.1 mile to a stop sign.

3. Turn Right (to stay on McConnell) and drive about 100 yards further to the "Mason Mill Park" sign.

4. Turn Left at the sign into the Park's large free parking lot.  We'll gather at the brown-roofed pavilion beyond the green-roofed restroom building.

Notes:
- This event is designed for people with little hiking experience and moderate cardiovascular conditioning.
- Dogs must be on leash
* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.
