This is a fitness hike for intermediate to advanced hikers. The hike is approximately 12 miles round trip with an above average hiking speed and only a few rest breaks. As a warmup, we’re going to start from the bottom of the falls, near the park store, and hike up waterfall stairs to the trailhead. From the trailhead, we will hike the AT Approach and return back via the Len Foote route. We should be back in Atlanta early afternoon.

Please plan on bringing a small lunch and snack since we will be dropping by the Len Foote Inn for a quick 10-15 minute break.

From the Park & Ride we will go north on Georgia 400 past the outlet Mall to GA 136. Left on 136 till GA 52. Right until the park entrance. We will gather at the Visitor Center parking lot near the entrance.

The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
