Itinerary:
Ok it is supposed to be cold overnight with a low of 19.  The high tomorrow is supposed to be 46, so should be above freezing for most or all of our hike.  But I want to get over to Gold Branch and see if any of Bull Sluice Lake is frozen over. Icy lakes and waterfalls, etc are fun and we don't get much of them in metro ATL.

We really need a good hard freeze for two or three days to do it up right but I figure this is the best chance so far this winter so maybe will be a little icy.  And the way things have been going, might be the only chance as temps will climb back up and who knows when they will plummet again.

This will be a pretty laid back hike with stops to take pics, etc.  But I plan to do about 5 miles in a around 2 to 2 1/2 hrs so should still be a good little workout.  The pace will be on the quicker side of moderate...not fitness-hike fast though.  If you get bored or too cold at any point, you can head back to the trailhead, as it's not a big park and would be nearly impossible to get lost.

But obviously this will be a chilly hike so be sure you dress warm enough to be comfortable standing around for a few minutes during breaks as well as while moving.  We can stop whenever someone needs to adjust layers..no big deal and that is just part of winter hiking and everyone should be comfortable if they dress properly.
