Let's celebrate the 4th at the headquarters for the CNRA - - Island Ford! We'll start early so the heat of the day doesn't get to us. Our hike will start with the lollipop loop off the first parking lot. After completing this portion of the trail, we'll continue our hike down to the Visitor's Center and then back to our parking lot. We'll take in the beauty of the river as well as some of the inner trails - - a fitting way to appreciate our Independence Day! The pace for this hike will be brisk, and we'll be covering many relatively steep hills. This is NOT a beginner's hike. NOTE: We'll be parking in the upper lot, just on your left as you enter the gate from Robert's Drive. As soon as you pass through the gate, look for the lot on the left. DO NOT PARK AT THE VISITOR'S CENTER! | |||||||
